This website does not collect personal user data; it exists only to provide information about EZ Contact Book. However, Google Analytics cookies are used to track visits, helping to improve the website and its content. This analytics data is not linked to any personal information.

Email Communication

Emails sent to ezcontactbook@gmail.com are retained to provide effective support. The email server is hosted by Google. If an error occurs in the program, you have the option to send an error report. This is entirely optional, and you can review the data before sending it. These reports help diagnose and fix software issues.

License Key Database

If you purchase a license key, it is stored in the License Key database, which includes your name, email address, purchase date, and registration dates. No hardware information is collected. This data is never sold or shared with third parties. It is retained to:

Purchases

License payments are processed through PayPal. PayPal provides limited details, such as your name, email address, transaction ID, receipt number, and purchase amount. This information is retained to:

EZ Contact Book Data Security

EZ Contact Book does not send your contact data to the developer or this website.
Your contact database is stored in a single file on your computer at %APPDATA%\E-Z Contact Book\

This folder is only accessible to your user account. Other users on the same computer will have their own separate databases.
Automatic backup files are stored in %APPDATA%\E-Z Contact Book\Backup

If you choose to back up your data elsewhere, it is your responsibility to secure that location. To protect your EZ Contact Book data, it is recommended to set a password on your computer account.

Sync with Google Contacts

When using the Sync feature, your contact data is shared with Google as an intermediary storage. For details on Google’s privacy policies, visit Google Privacy Terms.
Logging into Google through EZ Contact Book works similarly to a web browser login. The program uses secure OAuth 2.0 authentication protocol and does not store your Google username and password. All data transmission is encrypted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology.
